A few years ago, I was at a San Francisco Giants game in really good seats at the last game of the season. There was a middle-aged good looking couple sitting a few rows down from us. All of a sudden, he stood up while the lady was intently watching the game, took the ring out of his pocket, showed it to all of us sitting behind them, and then proposed to her. It was exciting and fun to watch. Though we didn’t know them, we felt like part of their moment.

The Tumblr thing was not like that.
