I’m completely fascinated with hoarders, but find this show incredibly difficult to watch.
The difference between this show and Clean House is that the people in the latter aren’t true hoarders, most of the time. On Clean House, the messiness is usually easily attributed to something and the person is just overwhelmed. The people on Hoarders are beyond getting an organizer.

Chicago Cab Vomit Fee Would Be First Of Its Kind →
Reblogging bc I want to hear Megan Allison’s thoughts on this as a cab heiress.

Chicago could become the first major city in the country with a puking ordinance if cab drivers get their way.
Chicago taxi drivers proposed a package of fee and fare hikes Thursday designed to offset their plunging income during the recession. Among the more controversial revenue-boosting ideas...

I've always been a Tarzan dater.
I am the same way now, too. And I used to be far more boy crazy, but now… I just kind of wait for dudes to come into my life, which inevitably, they do. I also have other things to think about. It only worries me because I know a lot of it is just trust issues. But, what are you gonna do, besides try to work through it?

So disgusted by this London Fashion Week tidbit. I’m glad the designer held his ground and kept the size 14 models in (I believe this translates to a smaller US size, but I don’t know) but so much drama because some of the girls needed Spanx?

Is There A Word For
tesslynch:
the feeling you get when you see one of your peers in glossy-paged press (Vanity Fair, New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, The New Yorker)? What’s the word for this? It’s like Schadenfreude for yourself, a mix of self-pity and self-derision for not having the foresight to produce satirical internet videos in the early-aught era, or learned to play the bass guitar, or said...
if you're in NYC on 9/23
come to Ignite NYC! Smart folks from blip.tv & improv everywhere (and some other companies) will be giving 5 minute talks on tv, film or video. And my dog and pony show will be there, too. I’ll be giving a little talk on business lessons learned via the Real Housewives.
You don’t have to RSVP, but there is more information here, plus the names of all the other speakers:
